As a veteran of the war in Iraq, the following orgnizations are very important to me. I have many friends either lost or wounded in combat and supporting these organizations supports them and their families.
The Military Order of the Purple Heart A fraternal organization dedicated to assisting veterans through it’s National Service Program, Veteran’s Affairs Program and Congressional lobbying efforts.
The Official Website of The Purple Heart Fund An organization dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance to injured Marines and other service members injured while in direct support of Marine Corps units.
The Wounded Warrior Project A non-profit organization dedicated to aiding, honoring and empowering wounded warriors through various programs and public awareness efforts.
The Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association An organization that provides scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Navy Seabees and Civil Engineer Corps Officers.
The NMCB FOURTEEN Alumni Association The official site of the NMCB FOURTEEN Alumni Association, an organization dedicated to fostering camaraderie & support within the Seabee community as well as the preservation & restoration of Seabee history.
Homes for Our Troops A national non-profit, non-partisan organization strongly committed to helping severely wounded veterans and their families by raising donations of money, building materials and professional labor and to coordinate the process of building a home that provides maximum freedom of movement and the ability to live more independently.
Operation: Seabees Knowledge A website intended “to make the broader military community, and the public at large, better aware of the ongoing role of the SEABEES as U.S. Navy combat troops and construction workers heavily involved in national defense and humanitarian aid worldwide.”
